  1. [1839] Let's bake!

He knew he was a bit of a coward, hiding behind Nehemia. It was his little sick sister, why did he feel so threatened all of a sudden? Because she had said it was wrong, confirming what he already knew and it stung. Being with a married woman, it surely wouldn't sit right with God, at least in his mother's eyes and apparently also his sister's. He knew if he told his mother she'd heavily disagree, and try to put him on more dates with eligible bachelorettes as she had already been doing, but hearing that kind of rejection coming from his sister made his heart ache. It was no longer a distant fear, he now knew the rest of the siblings would probably react like Daphne and it scared him. He reached for Nehemia's hand, ashamed he hadn't spoken he exchanged a look with her. What she was saying touched him at his core and he smiled like a fledgling lover's smile at her, before turning back to Daphne, who seemed to listen to his love's words, albeit with her arms crossed. ''It's true.'' He said, affirming that this all needed to stay a secret. After Nehemia's question, Daphne stayed quiet for a bit, her arms still crossed, looking from Jake to Nehe and back, resting her heavy gaze on Jake, who felt so uncomfortable. ''Daphne, I agree with Nehe. I know you don't agree with this. It is wrong to be with a married woman.'' He gritted his teeth, clenched his jaw. How could he convince her to keep her mouth shut about this? He hated having to tell his sister she had to lie, as he was always going on about being honest and transparent with family. But now he knew there were things that did need to stay quiet. ''Monkey, I know you want to tell mum. But if you tell mum, she's going to make sure I won't see Nehemia again. One way or another.'' Their family wasn't known for half-measures. If they thought sweet Christian Nehemia Desmarais was actually devious Nehemia Stonem, who was tempting their Good Christian Boy™ away from God's light, they would do anything to pull them apart. And at that point, what could Jake possibly do? His family all lived in Manchester and there was no way he could move away because he still had his duties as a big brother and primary caretaker. His mother would come by every day, Rose, Jack, and Jaqueline too, sent by their parents. Maybe father would come by with pastor John to pray the evil away in Jake's mind. And the humiliation that would come with it all... He knew a little bit what would happen, as Jack, his brother, had fornicated with a girl from Hogwarts because he'd fallen in love with her. When he told a few of the other siblings, it got passed through to their parents, Jake presumed by Jaqueline. Jake had seen first-hand how bad it could get with his parents. When his brother came home, they had a family chat, where Jack was forced to tell them everything. It ended with his father dishing out rules, and Jack had clearly been upset, but there'd been nothing Jake could've done. Pastor John came almost daily to talk to his brother during his visits to Manchester, as he was still in school then. Jack was put under 24 hours surveillance in Hogwarts, and Jake had helped too. Of course, he did, because his parents demanded it of him, but he knew he was way more guilty of the crime that they were punishing Jack for. It made him even more sure to seal up, to make sure nobody in his family knew anything about the real him, and he reinforced the persona he had made for himself. The Good Christian Son™. And now Daphne had seen the real thing and it scared the hell out of him. ''You know what mum and dad will do to me if they find out.'' His voice became wavery. He hated how weak he'd become. He swallowed, pushing his fear and anger to the side and gently squeezed Nehe's hand to calm his nerves a bit. His body was shaking. ''If you tell them, Daphne, Nehe won't be able to come anymore, even when I am not here. And you'd have to go to mum and dad's because, without Nehemia's help, I can't take care of you alone.'' He felt sly and mean for saying that. In normal circumstances, he wouldn't have, but he knew, with Jack's case in his mind, it was too big of a risk to just let her go like that. ''Fine.'' She said simply, visibly taken aback by Jake's comment. She pulled her chair back and walked towards the kitchen. He felt her disapproval still, and he felt bad about himself too. Manipulating his sister into not telling the truth, it was another wrong thing adding up. God's judgment laid heavy on him. If what his parents told him was right, after he died, he'd never see his family again. He'd be burning for eternity. He wasn't quite sure which of those he thought was more torturous. ''Okay.'' He said cautiously as he stood up, leaving Nehemia's hand behind. He smiled at his love shortly, but it was quite a bitter one, before rushing himself to the kitchen. ''Soooo, who wants to cut the butter?'' He said, extremely chirpy, almost as chirpy as his friend Pollux, trying to lift the mood a little bit. @Nehemia Desmarais
@June Johnson
  3. [AU] Mask this reality

Private @Nehemia Desmarais and Jake ''Here!'' He threw the white lacey mask towards his friend with a big grin on his face. He was holding his own mask, a black one with abstract patterns in his hand. ''You must have at least one dress that doesn't make you look so stiff, right? Put it on, I'll wait here for you.'' He loved teasing her. It was just too easy. He'd been to parties with her before, but this was one of the sacred secret parties and even though Aelin and Andres, his other mates couldn't come, he was going to go with her alone. Not that he'd told her anything about where they were going or what they were doing, as he'd like to surprise her. He wasn't sure she'd been to one of the secret ones yet. Jake himself was wearing a grey themed outfit and had pulled up the sleeves to expose his arms. Not that he was muscular, not really. Although he did like to play quidditch from time to time, he was very lanky, but he didn't mind that. The girls didn't seem to mind either. He looked up and saw Nehemia coming down the stairs in a dress that was still quite her, but he could see she had done her best so he just smiled. ''Perfect.'' He said, before taking her by the hand, ignoring any inquiries about where they were going, until they reached the place his friends had told him to go. He smiled at his friend once again, put on his own mask, before tapping his wand on the wall, opening it up just enough for them to enter, before the walls closed again. The room was very misty and mysterious, which suited the mask-theme completely. Jake couldn't distinguish anyone who wasn't in a few meters range. ''Jake....'' He heard a familiar voice call out and he smiled and looked for the source: his friend Mike, whose eyes seemed permanently about to shut. ''Mike! Meet Nehemia!'' He gestured at the girl beside him and almost immediately regretted it, as Mike looked from Nehemia to Jake, back to Nehemia, back to Jake, his already broad grin widening. ''Duuuuuuuude!'' he exclaimed and Jake rolled his eyes, before taking Nehe by the hand and pulling her towards the party. Let me sketch you the picture. There are decorations hanging from the ceiling, a lot of mist, a dance floor, and two separate seating areas. One that was for just that, seating. The other was for... more dubious things. Jake was going to make sure that ''Don't mind my friend. He is always high, and very, very open with his thoughts.'' Jake and Nehemia weren't together, they hadn't even slept together. It was a bit awkward. ''Do you want some pumpkin juice? They also have alcohol, if you can handle it.'' He smiled. He knew she drank, but again, he liked pulling her tail about how innocent she sometimes was. His eyes scoured the party, in search for anyone who could be his family. He didn't want them to know what he got up to. This party was exclusive and he had made sure with Mike none of the other Chadwick's were on the list, but still, he always worried. He couldn't wait until he graduated, then he wouldn't have to worry so much. @Nehemia Desmarais
  4. Afwezigheidstopic

Liefs!

  6. May 1939, in a quiet place in Heaton Park, Manchester Jake had had a realization last month that had shaken him to his core. He considered himself to be a carefree man, well, still a boy sometimes. He loved to party, he loved women, he loved traveling and he liked going on little adventures, either in real life or in his head. He always threw himself in situations to have a laugh with his friends, and threw parties at the very least once every two weeks, and before April, he used to have loads of women in his bed, but that changed suddenly. In April, he hadn't really slept with anyone in a while, and his friends started to notice too, so they jokingly-ish gave him money to spend on getting some. And so, off he went, to the place his friends had recommended him. Jake Chadwick never had paid for sex, but hey, there's a first time for everything! But he ended up just paying the confused woman for her time, and a few kisses, because when she had started to suggest they do something more, Jake had declined her offer with a firm no. He had realized something that was quite serious and quite scary. He had been taking a beautiful woman out on dates, as he had with other girls, but unlike with those girls, he got nervous. He wanted her to see he was a good man. His stomach started to spawn a colony of butterflies when she was near, and he had realized, on a prostitute's couch, that he was in love with Nehemia Desmarais. It was absolutely ridiculous, how could he have fallen in love with her? Jake never thought he would fall for anyone, he partly thought that kind of love was a myth. But, it wasn't. But there was another hurdle on the road. Not only did he not know if she liked him like that too, they had only kissed a few times and that was that, but she was engaged to someone else. Plus, she was rich, which made it so people would frown upon a relationship. So, Jake had just continued on, hoping the feeling would go away. Every time he sent her an owl, inviting her out for another date, he thought she would wisen up and either decline or not respond. But every time, he got a message back, saying she would be there. Sure, sometimes he had to playfully tease her a little bit for a firm answer, but she never said no and she seemed keen enough. It seemed she only was held back by her fear her family would figure out. But now, here she was again, on a blanket in Heaton Park in his home town. He had taken her to see the animals they had at the park, beautiful exotic birds even he hadn't really seen before he took her to his favourite place, where he would sometimes sit and chill, and where nobody ever found him. He knew she was taking a risk, going out with him, but he had chosen this day because it was very quiet in the park, so they should be fine. He sat down next to her and laid back on the blanket, his head resting on his arms. ''Nobody ever comes here. I come here often enough to know, don't worry.'' And even if he heard someone approaching, he would just make it so nobody could see them. Magic was awesome like that. ''Aaaahhhh...'' He sighed, enjoying the moment of rare sunshine in rainy ol' England. He opened his eyes and saw Nehemia looking at him, and looking away. The stomach tingles were lighting up again. ''You look nice today.'' He said. God, how much he wanted to just steal her away, but he couldn't. She was just experimenting a bit with a poor guy, but she wanted to get married to her fiancee, otherwise, she would've told him by now, right? They hadn't really talked about their situation, so he didn't know at all if she was very close to her fiancee, or anything. He wished he could tell her his feelings, but he didn't even know how to say it. It was embarrassing, she would surely laugh at him. But she was so nice, she wouldn't... Maybe he should just tell her, to get it over with, but the nerves took away his guts. @Nehemia Desmarais
  7. [1839] Let's bake!

She had been so close to him and it had driven him up the wall in more than one way, but now he didn't feel any tickling in his stomach or anyone else. He actually felt a little bit cold, now that his face was pale and his body felt tense. The realization of the situation crept in on him and he tried to remain calm, yet he failed miserably. His mind raced as he looked at Nehemia, his eyes wide open, his face stern and scared. She could probably tell from his face what he was feeling as she too looked quite shaken by the whole ordeal, her face held the same emotions as he was currently feeling. She decided they had to talk to her, and the dread crept in on him too. This could go so wrong, so horribly wrong, but she was right. If they left it they no control over the situation. It was better to grab the problem by the horns. ''Okay.'' He muttered, staring back at her. The minutes they were standing in the hallway seemed like an hour, yet Jake wanted it to take longer, just so he could hold off on telling her, but Nehemia grabbed his hand and lead him by his hand. If she hadn't, he probably would have just stood there to wait for Daphne to come to check up on him. He was terrible at confrontations, always had been, so he rather hid from them. He walked next to her, nervous that his sister would see them hold hands. He felt so self-conscient, he genuinely didn't know what to do and he was so happy she was here to guide him a little bit. Daphne came out of the kitchen, her avoidance of Jake's gaze was clear. What was she thinking about him, he thought as he too took place at the table, his hands held each other. She knew Nehemia was married, okay in the story Daphne knew Nehemia was married to a mister Desmarais, but still. She was twelve now, and Jake was sure his mother had had a talk with her about the birds and the bees and how every Chadwick was to hold on to their virtue until that special someone came along and you got married. That's what he'd been taught too, not that he had listened to it. But Daphne didn't know anything about if that happened, but even then. He was sure his mother or father mentioned somewhere that being with someone who was married was wrong and sinful and got you a special place in hell. He didn't believe that, but did she? Telling from her avoiding eye contact, he feared the worst. Maybe his little sister thought he was going to hell. Oh, this was horrible. He regretted the kiss so much. The girl definitely did not want to talk about it as she looked at the table instead of at Nehemia. ''Just, you kissing.'' She said, before looking at them both. ''I mean, I thought I was just making up stuff before.'' He had been right. She knew. She sighed deeply and her look at Jake made his gut drop. ''Jake, that's wrong, you know that right?'' Oh, how he wished she would've accepted it, been okay with it, and just agreed to lie to their parents, but he saw now that his mother had quite a lot of influence on her, or had at least told her enough about that stuff. He bit his lip. ''I know monkey, it's just... difficult.'' It was. So very difficult. But how could he possibly explain this to his youngest sister? She was too young to have boyfriends and all that, and way too young to have fallen in love with someone. ''I just want to go back to baking.'' She groaned, and crossed her arms and leaned back on the chair. Jake looked at Nehe for support. He wasn't good at these things at all, not when it was about something he couldn't really explain. He wanted to tell her he couldn't tell their parents, but at this stage, would that have the opposite effect? She wasn't so young anymore he could bribe her with chocolate cakes, it would probably just offend her. But, it was still his sister, so he should take the lead. But he was completely dumbfounded. Hearing her say it was wrong, out loud, brought a whole lot of doubt he hadn't felt before. Now that his decision to love Nehemia came to light, he saw even more clearly all the things his family with getting from it. But his sister was smart, smarter than the rest of his family. Maybe that could be the key to convincing her. She could understand, perhaps, where he was sure the others wouldn't. He just had to make sure she would see his point, without sounding like a sinner, that his mum needed to safe from eternal damnation. Well. This was a doozy. @Nehemia Desmarais
  8. [1939] Let's forget about the world and get wasted!

It was at least some consolation that if he were to get arrested, his friend would come to get him. He didn't know how muggle prisons were, but he had read some stuff on muggle devices that were supposed to rip your thumb off, although in muggle's defense, it was an anti-muggle magazine one of the girls he used to sleep with left behind. After that, he didn't invite her anymore. Him having a sister who wasn't magical made him dislike anyone who was against people without magical abilities. So even when the girl kept sending him owls, he didn't respond. Better to leave that be, he didn't like confrontation and if he were to even see her again, he'd definitely tell her in a polite manner, that he really did not approve of her leaving the magazine, and her constant pushing in her owls she'd sent him after he had asked her what the deal was with the magazine. Jake was a very chill dude, not easy to anger, but he hadn't approved of her tactics, or her ideology for that matter. But yeah, we got derailed there, the point is, he didn't want to go to muggle prison, and he was happy she would come and get him. When they got back to his house he needed to sit down, he was laughing so hard. ''Same.'' He smiled when she complimented him on his guts. ''Thank you, thank you my audience, years of training!'' He joked as he tried to catch his breath. When he calmed down he looked at her with challenging eyes. He really wanted her to chill with him and smoke something nice. They had been running around and chilling would be nice, although not too much of a chill, because they still needed to play the game. ''Ah!'' Jake said. He hadn't expected her to not have smoked anything yet, even with other friends. He thought everyone did that with their friends, but then again, Jake had a very different group of friends that he liked to hang out with. Aelin probably didn't have friends like Mike, but then again, it probably wouldn't be good for her to meet Mike. That dude did anything he could get his hands on. But smoking a little bit of weed wouldn't hurt her, right? Now he wasn't sure he should've dared her to do it. ''Uhm, I will get it.'' He walked in towards the house, careful not to fall and found his bag of blunts that he had rolled beforehand. He wouldn't be able to roll it now if his life depended on it, so it was good it was already rolled. He brought a lit candle with him to light it with and sat down. ''It's just like, it chills you down, and everything becomes funny. That's what it does to me.'' He lit the blunt and took a big puff, kept the air in his lungs for a while and breathed out. It had been a little while since he had smoked this, so his throat was a little prickly. After breathing out the smoke he held the smoldering blunt in between his fingers. ''It's just really chill and funny. But uhh,'' he looked at her a little guilty. ''Maybe I shouldn't have dared you to do it. If you want to skip this one, I will give you another never have I ever.'' He smiled at her. It was nice and strong, so he already was feeling the happy feelings he had been feeling, times twenty. ''Have you ever smoked before? Like anything? You have to inhale the smoke and just let it sit in your lungs for a while. Hold up, I'll get us some water.'' He'd totally forgotten about that. It was very important not to get dehydrated. He went into the house and got a glass vase of water and some cups because he had already forgotten there were cups on the table. When he came outside again he put everything down and took a sip of water. ''Yeeeeeeep, I am feeling it.'' He said as he giggled at Aelin with his eyes half-closed. @Nehemia Desmarais
  9. [1839] Let's bake!

He had heard her say there was enough stuff in the basket, yet he still went to stick his head in the basement, for no reason other than to make sure they got everything and he did take even more flour and sugar, just to make sure. When he closed the door, he suddenly heard her voice behind him, which triggered the skin on his arms to get goosebumps. ''Hey.'' He purred. It was nice to be close to her like this, as they hadn't really been able to be so close since Daphne started to live with him. He loved his sister, and he loved her being here, but there wasn't a lot of privacy anymore. His sister sometimes came into his bedroom to sleep in his bed if she didn't feel okay, so there was no way he and Nehemia could do, uhh, fun stuff. But it was only for a little while until she got better again. And they had little moments like this, that made him feel he had everything he wanted in the world. He kissed her back and smiled at her with a loving look. God, this woman was perfection. ''Hmm, naughty for sure.'' He joked and kissed her again. That's when he noticed two eyes looking at them, and when he looked at Daphne, she looked and walked away. His head became red like a tomato, and he let go of Nehemia swiftly. ''She saw us.'' He didn't mind his sister seeing this, if he could he would let her in on everything in his life, but mother came over regularly, and if Daphne mentioned she saw Nehemia and Jake kiss, that would raise a lot of questions, and make life a whole lot harder. If his mother believed Daphne, Jake would probably have to explain what had been going on, and if they found out, his father would be furious and disappointed. Maybe they would see it as Nehemia taking Jake's favour, which broke his heart because he was the one who kept pushing her. His parents were very convinced of Jake's Good Christian Boy act, so they would almost definitely put the blame on Nehemia for making him stray. Maybe his father would forbid him to see Nehemia again like he was some kind of kid. But his father didn't care how old Jake was, Jake would always be told to listen to his parents. It was God's way. All those thoughts raced through his head as he looked at Nehemia, and then to the floor. ''Should we tell her? Explain she can't tell my mum anything?'' He whispered. Mother would be here tomorrow to take care of Daphne if the girl let out anything... ''Come on, I can't bake this cake on my own!'' They heard the monkey-butt yell. She sounded casual like she already knew. She was a smart kid, but now she had actually seen proof... But, she was a clever one. If they explained what was happening, and why his parents couldn't know, she would listen, right? Or would telling her to keep her mouth shut just make it worse because Jake was asking her to lie to their parents, which was a sin? On that thought, he almost had to chuckle. Here he was, not wanting his sister to lie because it was a sin. He was just worried that, if he put this on her, maybe God could turn the table because of his disobedience to his parents and Himself. He looked at Nehemia, hoping for an answer that would be foolproof. Something like, oh your brother and I were just practising our breathing exercises. As if his sister could fall for something like that. @Nehemia Desmarais
  10. What if things had been different?

Spending time with his friends with always golden. With them, he could just be. When Aelin had challenged him, he had chuckled. ''Tooooo easy!'' Before he grabbed Nehemia's wand and held it above his head. ''Aaahh you wish tiny!'' He was enjoying this way too much. He was relatively tall, and quite lanky, so keeping the wand away from it's owner who was still in her fourth year was quite easy. And she wasn't like her other friends, who had their way of bending Jake to their will. Nehemia was such a dork. She had rich parents, and was such a stiff, but he still really liked her. She joined them on their crazy adventures, even though she always seemed a bit afraid. In some way Jake understood, he didn't want any of his siblings to find out he had been going to all the secret parties on Hogwarts, because then his father would know, and just like Nehemia, if his parents knew his real lifestyle, he would be in trouble. After a bit of teasing, he nonchalantly tossed her her wand, before petting her on the head. ''You stiff.'' He smiled at her, before she took a big sip of the alcohol. He made an impressed face, before sitting down too. ''Okay Aelin... Let me think about this. Never have I ever, kissed a boy named Jake, with the last name Chadwick.'' He smirked at his Slytherin friend. Aelin was very different from Nehe, she was more similar to Jake, in a way. She also wasn't afraid to do some crazy shit, but he had to admit he was a bit tougher than himself. It probably had to do with him still being a Hufflepuff, the best house, obviously. Everyone knew Hufflepuff parties were the best parties, especially the Hufflepuff parties thrown by yours truly, of course. His family was never invited to them, because he didn't want to expose them to the indecent behaviour of, uhh, certain Hufflepuff students. Of course not Jake, Jake was an innocent nugget that never drank anything in his life what are you saying. He wiggled his eyebrows at Aelin, before shooting a mischievous look at his other friends. Well, he thought he looked mischievous, his eyes were red and barely open. He had taken some of the spacecake he'd snuck into school, and that we're in a bowl on the table, along with other, normal refreshments. ''I don't remember you ever kissing a Jake!'' He said, thinking he was so smart, and he looked so very smug with himself. Yey. Kisses.
  11. [1839] Let's bake!

Jake had been woken up this morning by his sister. She had been jumping around because she knew Nehemia would come to bake a cake. Jake had playfully acted as if he didn't want to get up, pulled the covers over his head, but Daphne pulled them off and pulled on his arm. Sometimes, it was so hard to see the girl was sick, like today. The only way you could tell was because sometimes she had to sit down, and she had to cough a lot, but she was very smiley and happy, something that had come back now she was living with Jake instead of their parents. He loved it when she had the strength to dance around like she used to do. They still prayed a lot, but she also was allowed to be a kid, and to temporarily forget she was sick. His own happiness also grew, seeing his sister be happy made him worry so much less and gave him room to breathe. Of course, he still made her take her meds, even though she hated to take them. He would make her take them until the doctor Nehemia had sent was positive she was healthy. They were mostly painkillers, as there wasn't anything else they could be doing, but there was some other stuff. Jake knew exactly what it all was, though, once a doctor prescribed something that wasn't going to be good for her at all, and after Jake said something about it the doctor reluctantly agreed with him. Sometimes, it was good he had a good knowledge of a lot of drugs. Jake got dressed while his sister took a bath and once he got out of his room she was already downstairs, waiting. ''Did you take your medication?'' He said and looked at the still full pill case. She groaned but took them with a glass of milk. After breakfast, he got her back to bed for a little more nap time, while he went downstairs to drink some tea and stare at his garden because he really should find some hobbies he can do inside while it was snowing which didn't include drugs or drinks, and after around twenty cups, he heard a key in the lock. He perked his ears, these days he didn't know who could come through the door, but then he heard Nehemia's voice. Someone else had heard it too, quick footsteps made their way down the stairs. ''Nehemia!'' He heard as he smiled and made his way to the door, where Daphne was giving his love a big hug. ''Hey.'' Jake said. He wanted to show her how good he felt today, but he couldn't hug her or kiss her as he would normally, as Daphne wasn't aware of their relationship. Well, the girl had probably guessed, but Jake was too afraid of saying it out loud, as his mother still came by every day. He felt that if he said it out loud, it would stick to the walls and his mother could see it. ''So, are you girls ready?'' He asked, it was almost childish how excited he got about baking, but hey, he deserved some happiness by now, and besides, the two girls that were most important in his life now were here. In the kitchen they started taking everything out that they needed. ''If you two get started with measuring everything, I will go get the sugar and the flour from the basement.'' He left the chatter behind him and made his way to the hallway, where he stuck his head in the basement. @Nehemia Desmarais GM Daphne maar <3

While the girls were in the bathroom, Jake started to make her bed with some nice green, spring-ish covers and started to unpack, first the essentials and then the important stuff. He hung up some of the cards, but they got out of the bathroom before Jake could do all of them. Well, they could always do it together. ''There she is, fresh and clean!'' He smiled as he looked at Nehemia again. He loved how easy she was with his sister, putting her in the clean bed where she sat, looking around the room. Jake would clean it all out and put it in the attic so they could really make this her room, but he was excited. He was going to have to buy some extra food, but he didn't mind spending the money on his sister. He just felt relieved that she was in his house now, away from the drama and the feeling of being unwanted. He turned his head to look at his love, who asked if she should leave them alone. ''Well, yes, but I'd like to talk to you in private before you go.'' Nehemia and Daphne said goodbye, and Nehemia gave his sister her teddy for the time being. Downstairs, Jake gave Nehemia a long kiss. ''Thank you, for tonight. And always.'' He smiled. ''I'll see you soon that, you still have my schedule right? I will send you an owl if anything changes with my schedule.'' He said goodbye to her and waved, before running upstairs to his sister. They played a little game of cards, before she told him she was tired, and he kissed her on her forehead, before heading towards his own bed. @Nehemia Desmarais Jake out
  13. [1939] Let's forget about the world and get wasted!

Yes, Mrs. Tallinn, oh God how can I call Aelin that that is such a William thing, anyway, yes Aelin, there was a lot about Jake you don't know yet, so get ready for the ride of your life because, well, it is quite a ride to learn all that about your best friend. ''Ohhhh, yes.'' He smiled at her realizing he had been with a guy before. As aforementioned, Jake really wanted to experience everything in life, well, everything that was moral and legal, although not everything he did was legal, well, details details, that all didn't matter did it now, what did matter was that he had done her dare, and although he'd probably feel horrible about it when he was sober, now, he pushed any feeling of guilt away. He deserved some fucking giggles for a little bit, and he did honestly feel good. ''Thank you very much, my fellow animal friend.'' He said, also panting from the running. His heart was beating like crazy, the rush had felt amazing, and especially because he had his best friend with him for the whole ordeal. It was epic, it was glorious. Jake was terrible at asking for dares, his next one surely had to be more exciting. ''It's going to be fiiiiine!'' He smiled. Still, he got her a rope that he transfigurated from something he had laying around, as my precious boy didn't have a reason to have a random rope lying around like a maniac, you silly goat, and helped her attach it to the garden furniture. He had a little sip of his drink, to keep his high going while he watched on, admittedly very amused, as Aelin did considerably well for how much alcohol they had consumed before she fell on her butt. ''I got to admit, my friend, I'm impressed. I don't think I could've done that.'' He helped her up, and wobbled on his own legs a bit, smirking at her, before hearing the next challenge. ''Ohh nooooooooo...'' He moaned as he chuckled, yet his face looked pained. ''Noooooo, Aelin, oh noooooo why did I do this?'' He said. He definitely would have to apparate for this one, so he again took her arm, and apparated somewhere in Wales, where he knew people kept their doors open. ''Right, this is the part that's going to get me arrested.'' He mumbled, but he was still having fun. He walked towards some houses, breathed in, looked back at Aelin, and sighed, before trying a doorhandle. And another one. Jesus, he really was going to get arrested by some muggles, wasn't he. Finally, a door budged and he entered the hallway. His heart was racing, why was he doing this again? Right. Because he was a blooming idiot. ''Excuse me, who are you?'' He heard behind him, and he quickly turned around. He'd gone a lot further into the house than he had thought. The drinks were really working him. ''Excuse me, who are you?'' He answered back at the man. It didn't take long before Aelin could here a shriek coming from the house, before Jake could be seen, sticking his bum out of one of the windows at the ground floor. ''Aaaahh! Abort the mission!'' He fell backwards, on his back, in the bushes, before sloppily recovering and running back to Aelin, whilst pots and pans were thrown their way. They hid behind a bush, before apparating again.''Oh my Lord, love, you are going to get me murdered!'' He giggled. When he recovered, he had something else up his sleeve. ''Never have I ever, smoked a blunt with Jake Chadwick.'' He smiley devilishly at her. ''I know the answer to that! You want to get stoned and play this game?'' His drunk ass hadn't forgotten about her overdose attempt, so he chose something safe they could both enjoy. ''Alternatively, you can go to a school and act like you are a new teacher there. Unless you... have done that, of course.'' Jake didn't know if Aelin lived some kind of crazy life. Yeah, maybe challenges they could do at home were better as they couldn't get arrested. But then again, outside of the house were more exciting. Choices, choices... @Aelin Tallinn-Sardothien
  14. [1840] So this is His punishment

Jake felt bad for his mother but knew it was better for his sister and if there's anything he knew about health, he knew that the better you felt mentally, the quicker your body could heal. It was true, and he really thought she would be in a better mental state living at his place than staying here, he could tell from her big smile. He tried to focus on Nehemia and what she was saying, but his mother's look did pain him. She didn't look okay with what father had decided and it pained him. He did turn his face towards Nehemia, but darted his eyes away from her face. He felt her leg pressing and gently pressed back. He looked back at his mother, who seemed at least pleased that Nehemia seemed like such a sweet girl, and she was, and Jake was impressed by her half-truths, although it did put him on edge just a little bit. It seemed quite easy for her to tell half-truths, maybe the creeping gut feeling he had been having was right. Then again, it could be nothing. He could be making a big deal out of nothing. She liked to read, something he knew but made a mental note on. Maybe he could send her a book about the countries he visited, or something. His father nodded his head and smiled at Nehemia when she told him to not hesitate to call for her help. ''Thank you, Nehemia, we appreciate that.'' He said. Still, Jake had been angry at his father for a lot of things, and not caring enough about Daphne was one of them. Still, Jake never spoke up. It wasn't right, and he had to live with the holy hierarchy of the family and could never go against the person above him. Not his father, not his mother and not God, but, well, he still did. But not in public, not out loud. But He saw everything. And He was judging him, surely. ''Where did you and our Jake meet then?'' Jake looked up, he didn't cover this with her. The question was for Nehemia, but he really wished he could swoop in and help her out. And so he did. ''We met each other at the church in London near work where I sometimes go.'' He blurted out quickly, as he looked at her. ''They have a community there that does a lot of volunteering work, and well, they have experience with sick people so I thought that would be good.'' He turned bright red. Why had he taken that answer upon himself? She was smart, a quick thinker, why was he so nervous? ''Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you.'' He looked at Nehemia. It would probably better if he kept his mouth shut. It was true he went to a church there sometimes, but there was no community. ''Mother used to volunteer in her time too, she helps at the parental council at Hogwarts right now, too, isn't that correct mum?'' He just wanted to get the conversation away from Nehemia for a minute, before they asked her too many questions. After dinner, Daphne helped mother with the dishes, giving Jake and Nehemia some time alone in Daphne's room to start to pack up some stuff. ''I am sorry I spoke for you, I panicked.'' Jake whispered as he started to fill a box with stuff he knew she wanted to take with her. @Nehemia Desmarais
  15. [1939] Let's forget about the world and get wasted!

Well, Jake could've known it was going to get crazy. He knew his best friend through and through. Besides, they met each other and stole booze together and ended up in her house. No, nothing happened, get your mind out of the gutter. She had a boyfriend, now husband, who wasn't very happy with Jake coming home with his girl. But Jake didn't have any bad intentions, truly! But yeah, they had done some crazy stuff together already, so he could've expected it. ''Oooohhh!'' Jake chuckled. ''You are good!'' And Jake was an idiot. He smiled when he heard she had kissed a girl, he loved people experimenting and trying out new things. After all, how could you know what you liked if you've never tried anything at all? ''Oh I know!'' He answered to her telling him that kissing boys or girls didn't really differ. The only thing he'd noticed was that girls were a lot softer when he grabbed them to pull them closer. But he liked that, it made women very huggable. He smiled at her never have I ever, and he stood up. ''Let's go then free some animals. Animal liberatioooon!'' He remembered this girl in Hogwarts, who now owned a barn, who had so many animals that she had saved. She was quite stiff, and he never got anywhere with her, but he found it very interesting. The french girl probably would be proud hearing he was going to free some creatures today, although the reasons weren't very good. ''Come on!'' Jake said, and he grabbed Aelin, before apparating near a pet store he knew in London. ''Okay, watch me.'' He smirked and walked inside. There were owls everywhere, as well as toads, frogs, some rats, some cats, bunnies, and all that. ''Good afternoon.'' He greeted the shop owner, trying to be inconspicuous. Then, he went to the cages, and quietly alohamora'ed them all. Before he could get to the last cages, the shop owner noticed as the animals he unlocked the cages of escaped. ''ANIMAL LIBERATION! ANIMALS HAVE RIGHTS TOO!'' Jake yelled out loud, as he tried to run out of the store, but it was hard because he was drunk. ''RUN! RUN!'' He yelled at his friend before they ended up on his couch, Jake crying with laughter. ''Okay, okay!'' He cried, trying to calm himself. ''Technically, we didn't break in and technically, I didn't free all the animals, but I did some animal liberation today, aren't you proud of me!'' He chuckled. ''Okay, my turn. Never have I ever-'' His mind went to 'baked a spacecake' but that would probably take too long. He thought for a second. ''Never have I ever walked a tight rope.'' He smirked and looked at her. @Nehemia Desmarais
